Welcome to the 10th annual exhibit of the International Society of Acrylic Painters. This year’s show is at the San Luis Obisbo Art Center in San Luis Obisbo, California. Our juror Michiel Daniel promises that this show is diverse, with strong professional work. Out of 173 entries, Mr. Daniel screened 275 slides, 80 were selected. We thank Mr. Daniel for his expertise in selecting this show. The jury process is a difficult task.

Entries came from all over the world including Mexico, Poland and Japan. California came in first with 48 entries and Florida second with 39. The US was represented from east to west, north to south.

Kate Burridge our exhibition director has done an amazing job in organizing this show . She found and arranged for the exhibition space in San Luis Obispo. Her position as Marketing Director quickly morphed into Exhibition Director. With the help of Linda Gunn she gathered sponsors for the awards. Kate received the slides, filed them and delivered them to Mr. Daniel to review. She sent out the letters and returned slides to every entrant. Kate reviews the slides to be sure they are the same as the submitted painting. Finally she will send out most of the awards to the recipients. Linda will send the show exhibition certificates. Our web master Sandy Woods is setting up the template for our show catalog that we can use for many years to come.

The mission of ISAP will continue, “To encourage cultural and educational programs for the Visual Arts on the use of acrylic paint and to promote Signature members and developing artists by way of lectures, demonstrations, exhibits, and awards.”
